Last Events Canadian Investors are Interested in Rivne Region
Canadian investors want to learn more about potential of the region and its spheres attractive for cooperation. Daniel Caron, the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Canada in Ukraine, visited Rivne to meet with regional authorities and to see the region.
- I have come here, because Canadian and Ukrainian governments and people are in close relationship. But still there is a lack of business and investment activity. I think it is time to liven up such activity, - said Daniel Caron, the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Canada in Ukraine, about the purpose of his visit. – We support the coming of our potential investors to Ukraine. But to make them come here, we need to conduct educational activity, to show the advantages.
The Rivne mayor also has nothing against Canadian investors. Just the reverse, he suggested humanitarian and investment ways for cooperation.
- We have a well developed infrastructure. Kyiv-Lviv highway will become of a European class soon, there are also a railway communication, international airport, and there are two nuclear power plants close to Rivne, - promoted the regional center Volodymyr Khomko, Rivne city mayor,.
Halyna Kulchytska, the deputy mayor, was interested in a cultural exchange of pupils, students and teachers between Ukraine and Canada.
After all, both sides agreed to search for a brother-city to Rivne in Canada, exchanged presents and organized a city tour for the ambassador.
